Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion in ACTION
We are building a Tulane where we practice our core value of inclusive community every day.
The Office of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) coordinates university-wide efforts to build inclusive community. We collaborate with university community members and leaders to create, implement, and evaluate programs designed to ensure every single community member can grow and thrive together.
We partner with schools and campus units to ensure Tulane is a supportive home for all, recognizing that Tulane's location in New Orleans and cultural context is unique and prepares our students for intercultural life around the world. We work closely with our campus partners in addressing and preventing bias, discrimination, and harm related to prejudice (e.g., racism, sexism, heterosexism, ableism, classism, antisemitism, Islamophobia, Xenophobia, and other intersectional societal inequities).
We look forward to our collective work, and we welcome your feedback on our initiatives.
Signature Initiatives
A Plan for Now provides structure and direction for initiatives already underway and identifies actions we can undertake in the coming weeks and months that support inclusive academic excellence.
Alongside existing university initiatives included in A Plan for Now, A Strategy for Tomorrow is our long-range plan to advance our core value of inclusive community from 2022-2027.
